Birthday Part II

Damon | 09 May, 2007 19:17 | (151)

Could not resist adding this - from our Milford / Science reporter David brooks - in response to our 10th anniversary announcement:(cue Monty Python voices)

Web editor 1: "Oooh, dialup - we used to *dream* of dialup. Our first Web page was drawn on each computer monitor with a non-repro blue pen."

Web editor II: "well, when I say dialup, I don't mean *dialup* like we have today. I mean it was carved on bars of Dial soap, which we tossed up through the window of each reader."

yet another Web editor: "Carved? You were lucky. We had to gnaw the web page onto the back of birch bark and float it down the Nissitissit ..."

all three editors together: "Kids today, they don't know how easy they've got it."

Share and enjoy.
