Lots of heat, not as much light about storytellingDamon | 05 January, 2007 10:44 | (625)
An interesting blogologue (OK - it is a made up word, how do you describe a discussion that spans multiple blogs and comments?) made the rounds today concerning multimedia storytelling. For background see: I'm bored with Soundslides, Banish boring slideshows, Can you get me a Soundslide of that?, and Slideshows can plug the Video Gap.
The headlines pretty much tell the story. Lots of opinions, not a whole lot of consensus reached.
I was prepared here to give a spirited defense of audio slideshows as an engaging and entertaining storytelling device, but instead the work can speak for itself: http://nashuatelegraph.com/multimedia And a few of my favorites: NOTE: This post originally had a few comments on it - but it got corrupted during a software update - so apologies for losing them. searcharchives
