The End

The wedding was fabulous! We had a gorgeous day to get married on a boat, my dress came out beautifully, and the food and the music was great.
There were some minor snafus: The minister forgot to include a few parts of the wedding ceremony, a few people missed the boat, and Ed decided he wanted to break glass at the end of the wedding at the last minute. Of course, I cut my foot stomping on glass.
But no one fell overboard, there were no family fights and my nephews (at 4 and 2) were the first ones on the dance floor and danced the night away. By the end of the night, everyone was dancing - so much so that the entire floor of the pub was shaking.
The pub was outstanding. Since the space we rented was divided into several rooms, people who wanted to catch up could get away from the music and talk while others went into another room to dance. Also, inviting everyone to the rehearsal dinner worked out, since people got a chance to meet each other before the actual wedding. People actually sat and talked with people they had just met and exchanged e-mail addresses. Several people said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to.
So, yes, we were lucky enough to enjoy our own wedding. I wish the wedding would come around every few years so we could party all over again.
And Ed surprised me with a honeymoon on the coast of England. After flying into London, we took a train to Paris for the day. When we returned, we hopped on a train and traveled through the English countryside to St. Ives, a town on the western coast of England. We spent most of our time relaxing.
We also used postcards we bought on the trip as thank you notes so people could see where we had been.
This will be my last blog, since I had set out to blog about my wedding. Thank you for reading! I leave you with pictures of the wedding.
