Those of you who read The Telegraph’s breaking news blog are already aware, but for those of you who don’t, today is Corey Feldman’s 37th birthday. To celebrate, I have collected a few clips from some of his more enjoyable movies. I would be hard pressed to think of another actor who has made more [...]

Spousal abuse or abuse of technology?

Posted by teresa santoski

Well, here’s one way to make sure everyone hears about the issues you have with your spouse: record your rants and put them up on YouTube.
Broadway producer Philip Smith is suing his estranged wife Tricia Walsh Smith for divorce after the video clips she posted on YouTube in which she expounds at length on their [...]

Let’s freeze stuff!

Posted by teresa santoski

So, what happens when you freeze various items at -13 degrees Celsius? (That’s 8.6 degrees Fahrenheit, which doesn’t sound quite as impressive, but hey, it’s pretty cold.)
First, amazement and disbelief at the frozen items ensues, accompanied by the attempted tasting of food items to make sure they aren’t plastic.
Also, whoever is silly enough [...]

Posted by teresa santoski

It seemed unfair to write about "Animaniacs" without giving you all a chance to experience the joy and happiness the show brings, along with its surprising educational value. Hence, a companion blog post with clips of interest.

Posted by karen lovett

Mariah Carey was asked to throw out the first pitch at a Japanese baseball game this week.  Note to MC: stick to singing high notes, because this was a low one.
Wearing a silky pink mini-jacket, booty shorts and four-inch stilleto heels, Mariah tip-toed airily onto the mound, escorted by two furry mascots.
She giggled.  Smiled.  "Wound [...]

Were you raised by wolves?

Posted by jennifer o'callaghan

Well, I sure have missed this joint, but with adjusting to a new job and such, I have been short on time for blogging, or even doing things worth blogging about.
(Not that the latter ever stopped me before.)
But today I took a break from all the hubbub to search for new reading material. [...]

“The watermelon claps! Let’s sing it again!”

Posted by teresa santoski

Nothing says, "It’s Friday, and your brain will soon be allowed to die a slow, peaceful death and become soybean paste soup," like a music video that’s a lot of fun but makes absolutely no sense.
And so, I give you Korean boy band Super Junior T with "Rokkugo." There are English subtitles, but really, they [...]

If rehab’s not working, try TV-Hab

Posted by karen lovett

I’ve noticed a trend that seems to gaining steam: fallen starlets making good on the silver screen.  Let’s call it "television rehab", or,  “TV-Hab.”
Britney Spears has recently scored her most positive marks in years. (Okay, her “Blackout” album got kudos, too.)  Last month, she appeared on the hit sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” playing [...]
