Paws-ing for social networking
Filed under General, Internet by teresa santoski at 2:55 pm
I admit it - my hands are so full with my actual life that I have no time for a virtual existence. My friends complain about my lack of accessibility (How am I inaccessible? I work for a newspaper!) and try to cajole me into getting a Facebook or myspace account, but to no avail. Between work and real life responsibilities (laundry, paying bills, cleaning the litterbox), I just don’t have the time to update a LiveJournal (or the existential angst necessary to maintain a DeadJournal) and get a reasonable amount of sleep.
Speaking of litterboxes, though, you know who has plenty of time for social networking? Cats. And their daily activities are surprisingly entertaining to read.
Check out my favorite Twitter kitty, Sockington. His short-but-sweet posts are exactly what you’d imagine your cat is thinking as he goes about his kitty business.
I wonder if my cat Cleo has a Twitter account. I can just imagine her posts:
“Jumping into sink not as easy as it used to be. Pawthritis must be acting up. Take two chipmunks and see how feel in morning.”
She probably isn’t online in any substantial capacity. She’d get too distracted by the mouse. A cheesy joke, I know, but it had to be made.
