Idol takes on the Beatles again with mixed results

Filed under Uncategorized by at 8:37 pm

Don’t worry Michael Johns, Kristie Lee Cook is already packing her bags. The Beatles have been her downfall.

Michael, I am one of your biggest fans, but don’t you know that you don’t pick songs based on how much you like it or who you want to dedicate it to? It seems this season that whenever someone sings badly, the first thing they say is they always wanted to sing that song or how much they love that song. And as for Kristy, it just goes to show you can’t pick a song because you liked the title.

I realized this week that the peformance I look forward to the most each week is by David Cook and not just because I have him in the work pool. He is this season’s Chris Daughtry. I was not sure about the change at first but I’ve become a big fan of contestants playing instruments.Although contestants who really depend on them can look lost at times, like Jason tonight.

I remain thoroughly annoyed by David A. He is not the second coming and I will argue that he doesn’t have the maturity to sing The Long and Winding Road. Master class, Simon? On the other hand, I don’t think Brooke was as bad as everyone thought she was. She actually looked somewhat human to me this week. She has flaws!

You go, Amanda. I don’t know if you’ll get in trouble for swearing but it’s nice to see someone just be who they are and not care what people think. I don’t disagree that it was predictable tonight, however.

Also…solid performances from Carly and Syesha. I miss the Chikieze from last week. Ramiele might beat Kristy out the door this week.
