Rami, Sweet P. and Chris, oh my!

So, “Project Runway” is halfway through its fourth season, which means I’ve had seven episodes to get to know this year’s crop of garment gurus. In my own fantasy land, that means I actually feel like I know them.
How do the contestants stack up so far? Well, let’s put it this way…
Runway-er I would…
- Wear daily: Christian. I think he has the “it” factor. His clothes are distinct and hip. And…uhh…mine are not.
- Want to be near in a pinch: Jillian. If she can make a cute, wearable dress out of Twizzlers, for God’s sake, she could rescue me from any couture calamity.
- Ask to be my BFF: Chris. Not an episode goes by without my belly-laughing at his jokes. Plus, he could make me a kick-ass Halloween costume.
- Watch sappy flicks with: Ricky. That way, I won’t be the only one crying.
- Invite back to the show: Steven. I miss his self-deprecating humor. And my God. He was saddled with transforming (albeit badly) the most hideous wedding dress EVER, so let’s throw him a bone. Ooh, ooh! My runner-up choice is Jack. ’Cause he’s just adorable.
- Say got the shaft: Kevin. C’mon, judges! The red halter prom dress did NOT look cheap. Sure, he should’ve hemmed the damn thing (bad, Kevin, BAD). But his clothes have been consistently lovely and more well-made than, say, Ricky’s. (Sorry, Ricky. Please don’t cry.)
-
Support for president: Mentor Tim Gunn. I mean, he’s diplomatic, articulate and well-groomed. What more could we want in the oval office?
Now tell me who’s on your short list, before they say "Auf wiedersehen!"
