OK, who isn't a fan of "The Simpsons"?

Seriously. It's been on the air forever and now the residents of Springfield have proved that they can hold their own on the big screen.

I've always loved how the writers reference famous movies, but I admit, sometimes the scene looks familiar, but I just can't place it.

That's why I found this page so interesting. Can't quite place that scene? Someone has done the work for you. Now all your laughs can be knowing laughs.

Edited to add this "Twin Peaks"-"Simpsons" reference thanks to ever-vigilant staff writer Mike Brindley.

Wow this was so great. Being a movie freak I connected some of these scenes before but only a small fraction - the Psycho being one of my all time faves. I knew there was a place in this world for other film majors.

Surprised not to see a reference to The Great Escape? They did an entire episode around that - Maggie escapes from daycare.
