Graffiti - Philadelphia style
Filed under Uncategorized by jennifer o'callaghan at 1:41 pm
I have a thing for murals. First of all, the scope always seems so impressive, canvasses of many stories that, when painted outside, are available to an endless stream of eyes. Public murals can turn an ordinary brick facade into something wondrous or transform stale cinderblocks into a whole new world of color and form and light.
That's why I am extra psyched about these murals from Philadelphia.
First of all, as a former Pennsylvanian, I am always glad to see Philly getting its due for its eclectic charm. And secondly, they are not only beautiful - reason enough to be proud of them - but they also represent the city's culture and history.
