Voters Guide ‘06: The Print Version

What’s almost as important as Election Day?
Try Oct. 29.
That’s the day The Telegraph intends to publish the print version of Voters Guide ‘06, the special section we publish every two years as part of our civic obligation to provide you with as much useful information as possible in preparation for the Nov. 7 general election.
And that’s not easy here in New Hampshire, home to the third-largest Legislature in the English-speaking world. (In case you’re wondering, the U.S. Congress and British Parliament rank as Nos. 1 and 2.)
Among the information you can expect to see in Voters Guide ‘06:
- Biographical and issue information for candidates for governor and the U.S. House of Representatives.
- Biographical information and the responses to four issue questions contained in a Telegraph questionnaire mailed out to more than 200 Greater Nashua candidates for seats in the state Legislature.
- A list of polling places and voting times in Greater Nashua.
- A sample ballot.
Of course, you don’t have to wait until Oct. 29 to review some of this information. The biographical information and the responses to our questionnaire from more than 100 of the local House and Senate candidates are now available for viewing on our online version, which is accessible from our home page or by clicking here.
Today was the official deadline for House and Senate candidates to respond to our questionnaire, so you can expect to see the responses of more and more of them over the next several days.
So don’t forget to pick up a copy of Voters Guide ‘06 inside the Oct. 29 edition of The Sunday Telegraph.
Because in this state, it’s not easy to keep track of all the players without a scorecard.
