“Animaniacs” Assortment

Filed under Uncategorized by teresa santoski at 6:00 am

It seemed unfair to write about "Animaniacs" without giving you all a chance to experience the joy and happiness the show brings, along with its surprising educational value. Hence, a companion blog post with clips of interest.

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out this week’s edition of Tete-a-tete here. It’ll explain everything. Well, it won’t explain the meaning of life and things of that nature, but it’ll at least explain the reason behind this post’s existence.

And now, the nations of the world!

First up, we have "Yakko’s World." A few of the countries have since changed their names or, um, no longer exist, but other than that, it’s pretty accurate.

Next up is "Wakko’s America." Darn tricky Jeopardy answer format.

Oh, don’t forget the U.S. presidents!

Their "translation" of Shakespeare’s "Hamlet" is better than Cliffs Notes.

"Good Idea, Bad Idea" was another one of my favorite features on the show. Here’s a compilation of some of them.

An amusing parody of Disney’s "The Lion King."

And last but not least, a greatest hits compilation of sorts, featuring some of the best quotes from Yakko, Wakko, and Dot.

If you’re interested in seeing more, the first 75 episodes (there were 99 total and a feature-length movie) are available for purchase at Amazon or for rent at local video stores.
