Vote '06: Telegraph Surveys Are OutNick | 24 August, 2006 23:31 | (812)
If you are a candidate for the state House of Representatives or Senate in Greater Nashua, watch your mailbox. That's because we just mailed out 219 -- that's right, 219 -- cover letters and forms seeking biographical and issues information from all the local candidates seeking a seat in the state Legislature for the 2007-08 session. The candidates are being encouraged to fill out the form online in order to make their information available as quickly as possible. Those who do not have Internet access can fax or mail the questionnaire to us, though that will add to the time it takes to publish that information online. The questionnaire is broken down into two parts: biographical information and four questions that seek the candidates' positions on taxes/spending, gambling, education aid, and civil unions/gay marriage. We hope you find this information useful as you prepare to vote in the Sept. 12 primary and later in the Nov. 7 election. If all goes as planned, we intend to start posting the candidates' responses in the next few days. Add commentsearcharchives
