We Mean Business

Nick | 16 June, 2006 16:41 | (510)

If our business section looks a little different next week, relax: Your eyes aren't deceiving you.

Starting Tuesday, we are introducing daily business themes to that section to focus on topics that are of interest to us all: money, shopping, workplace and real estate.

The themed sections will run Tuesday through Friday -- the Saturday and Sunday sections will remain as they are now -- and will be broken down as follows:

  • Tuesday: Money
  • Wednesday: Shopping
  • Thursday: Workplace
  • Friday: Real estate.

Barring any late-breaking news emergencies, the featured story on that page -- or "centerpiece" in newspaper-speak -- will be reflective of that day's theme. What's more, the daily centerpiece will be supplemented by a column on that topic as well.

The banner at the top of the business section is also being changed to reflect the four themes. The topic of the day will be highlighted in black.

So please take a few minutes on Tuesday to check out our new -- and hopefully you will agree improved -- business section.

And when you do, please post a comment and let us know what you think.

Share and enjoy.

Shopping Section [Reply]

Hey Nick. Can't wait for the shopping sectiont. I can't balance my checkbook and I wouldn't know a bull market from bull droppings. But shopping I know.
