The Week in Preview

Nick | 30 May, 2006 21:04 | (498)

So what did you think?

That's what I would like to know about "The Week in Preview," which made its debut Monday on the front of the Nashua & Region section.

The purpose of the new feature, which was teased at the top of Page 1, is to give readers a sense of -- to quote the subtitle -- "What the region will be talking about this week."

On Monday, it highlighted six events that are scheduled between Thursday and Sunday of this week.

A sampling:

  • Thursday: A walking tour of the art and architecture of Nashua's Main Street with Alan S. Manoian.
  • Friday: Mr. McFeeley, the Speedy Delivery Man from "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood," reads to children at the Manchester Public Library.
  • Saturday: The Southern New Hampshire Scottish Games and Celtic Music Festival opens at Silver Ranch in Jaffrey.
  • Sunday: Alvirne High School hosts the Bronco Belly Bustin' Chili Fiesta to benefit the school bands and choral groups.

OK, you get the idea.

The Week in Preview, which has been in development for a few months now, is compiled by editorial assistant Teresa Santoski and designed by copy editor/page designer Andrew Toland.

Anyone wishing to submit information for consideration should contact Teresa at 594-6467 or e-mail news@nashuatelegraph.com with "The Week in Preview" on the subject line. The deadline for the Monday feature is the previous Tuesday.

Be interested in your thoughts ...

Share and enjoy.

Good idea [Reply]

I'll tell you, I just hate it when I open the paper and see something that had gone on the day before that I would have gone to had I known about it beforehand. =)
