Bargains here, there and everywhere

Check your supermarket fliers, then make your lists and plan your trips, and you’ll see more savings than if you shopped in one place only. This week again, we’ve got bargains at all the market chains.

At Shaw’s, there are three boxes of various Kellogg’s cereals for $6, 30-ounce jars of Cain’s mayonnaise for $1.99 and chicken leg quarters in 10-pound bags for 69 cents a pound. Shaw’s also has fresh asparagus for $1.79 a pound in Milford (and $1.99 in Nashua and Londonderry) and New England Coffee in 8- to 12-ounce bags are$2.50 each in Milford (and $3.33 each elsewhere). Plus if you have access to a PC, you can print an extra coupon at the Shaws.com site.

Stop & Shop has DiGiorno Pizza or California Pizza Kitchen in various sizes for $3.99, Dannon yogurts are 33 cents each (limit 12), Angel Soft double-roll bath tissue 12-packs or Sparkle paper towel 8-packs are $3.99 (limit two) and sweet red peppers, Rinaldi pasta sauce in 24-ounce jars and cans of Chef Boyardee pasta are $1 each.

Hannaford has chicken drumsticks and thighs in 4- to 5-pound packages for 79 cents a pound.

Market Basket has center cut pork chops (bone in) for $1.69 a pound, golden ripe bananas for 39 cents a pound, 24-ounce loaves of Friehofer’s Country Breads are $1.50, 2-pound packages of store-brand frozen veggies (peas, corn, mixed and broccoli) are $1.67, Hood ice cream in 48-ounce “half-gallons” are $2.50, 1-pound packages of store-brand pasta are 79 cents, packaged peaches are 79 cents a pound and fresh green beans are 89 cents a pound.

Bargains at the drug stores include: at Walgreens, four 12-packs of Dr Pepper, Sunkist, 7 Up, A & W or Canada Dry for $9 after $2 Register Reward, 11-ounce cans of Maxwell House coffee for $2.50 (limit two), Energizer 4-packs, including Rechargeable AA, batteries for $7.99 and a flier coupon for three reusable bags for $1 (limit three).

CVS has various Kellogg’s cereals in various sizes for $1.88 with clipfree coupons, Schick Quattro razors are $4.99 after $3 in Extra Bucks, and Crest Pro-Health toothpaste or rinse, Oral-B floss or SuperFloss for 99 cents after $2 in Extra Bucks. Also, if you spend $15 on a variety of candy, you’ll get $5 back in Extra Bucks.

Always try to use manufacturers coupons to save even more.
