Don’t let these specials pass you by

Market Basket and Shaw’s are running a number of specials this week on many basic food and household items.
Market Basket is discounting fresh large eggs (99 cents a dozen), all-purpose potatoes ($3.29 for 10 pounds), Wesson vegetable oil ($5.99 a gallon), Jif peanut butter ($2 for a 17.3- to 18-ounce jar), Juicy Juice 100% juice ($2.50 for a half-gallon), broccoli crowns (99 cents a pound), store-brand American cheese wrapped singles ($2 for a 1-pound package) and 12-ounce packages of Stouffer’s macaroni and cheese ($1.50). The supermarket chain is also discounting many Shady Brook Farms turkey products, including ground turkey, tenders, drumsticks and breasts.
Shaw’s is offering a coupon for $5 off your next shopping trip if you buy $20 worth of participating Procter & Gamble or PepsiCo products. Included are Folgers and Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, Tropicana orange juice, Rice-A-Roni and Pasta Roni, Pampers diapers, Charmin bath tissue and Crest toothpaste.
Other supermarkets have some good deals. Stop & Shop has boneless chicken breast in 3-pound or larger packages for $1.79 a pound, white seedless grapes for 99 cents a pound, Stouffer’s Lean Cuisine entrees for $2, fresh boneless Atlantic salmon fillets for $5.99 a pound. The chain is still offering free 14-day supplies of select antibiotics through March 21 at its markets with full-service pharmacies.
Hannaford is selling Hormel cooked ham for $2.89 a pound, and rib and sirloin end pork chops are 99 cents a pound in value packs.
CVS drugstores are giving a free six-pack of Charmin bath tissue when you buy $20 worth of a variety of products on sale, including Cascade, Crest, Oral-B, Dawn, Always and Tide (with limits on the number available at the sale price). A 10-count of Carnation instant breakfast is free after $4.99 in ExtraBucks. A trial size (3-ounce) container of Act total care rinse is free after 99 cents in ExtraBucks. Gillette Fusion razors are $3.99 after $4 in ExtraBucks. You’ll also get $5 in ExtraBucks if you spend $20 on a number of baby care products, including Pampers diapers and wipes, Johnson’s baby powder, oil and shampoo, and Q tips.
Walgreens has Ocean Spray juices, including 100% juice, in half-gallons for $2.50 (limit three), Reach dental floss and Prevent toothbrushes for 99 cents (limit three) with flier coupon, store-brand aspirin tablets in 500-count bottles for $1.99(limit three) with flier coupon, and Angel Soft bathroom tissue four-roll packages three for $4 (limit three) with flier coupon.
Always look to use manufacturer’s coupons to save even more.
