The low prices on five items on the cover of this week’s Stop & Shop flier make a trip to that market worth it.
Tropicana OJ half-gallons are$1.99 (limit four); Healthy Choice entrees are five for $10 plus you’ll get a coupon for $3 off your next order if you buy five (limit one); homestyle roasting chickens are 79 cents a pound; 5-pound boxes of seedless clementines and 5-pound bags of California navel oranges are $4.99; and whole boneless pork loin is $1.79 a pound.
Market Basket also has some good prices. A 10-ounce bag of spinach is 99 cents; 24-ounce jars of Francesco Rinaldi pasta sauce are 99 cents; 12-packs of Smuttynose ale, Beck’s beer and Red Stripe lager are $9.99; and 34.5- to 39-ounce containers of Maxwell House coffee are $5.99.
Hannaford has boneless N.Y. sirloin steak for $2.79 a pound and Hormel cooked ham for $2.89 a pound.
Shaw’s has some flier coupon specials worth noting. On the front cover are ones for free potatoes, onions and carrots if you buy any 3-pound minimum roast (with bottom round, boneless chuck and round tip priced at $2.99 a pound) as well as $5 off any eight Pepsi or Tostitos products (plus get $15 in coupons for these products); on the back cover are coupons to save $5 off Coca-Cola and DiGiorno or California Pizza Kitchen products and $2 off chicken when you buy three Kraft proucts.
CVS also is giving ExtraBucks back ($10 worth) to Super Bowl partiers who spend $20 on PepsiCo products. Wisk 3x high-efficiency or 2x ultra laundry detergents are two for $7 after $2 back in ExtraBucks. Shoppers spending $20 on Huggies wipes or diapers will get back $5 in ExtraBucks. There’s $2 in ExtraBucks due back from buying 36- or 40-count Playtex for $7.99. There’s a limit of one on all of those deals. Finally, containers of Head & Shoulders, Gillette or Pantene shampoo or conditioner in 8.5- to 14.2-ounce containers are $1.99 after $3 back in ExtraBucks.
Walgreens has Colgate 4.6-ounce Total for 99 cents after $2 in Register Rewards, and spending $30 on Tums, Pepcid, Prilosec and Imodium will get you $10 in Register Rewards (or you’ll get $5 in rewards after spending $20). Finally, printer cartridge refills on 100 models are free after a $5 rebate and sale.
Look to use manufacturer’s coupons to save even more.
