Hot deals this week on soup, OJ, chicken breast

Soup’s on this week – on sale that is, at a number of drug and grocery stores in the area. There are good prices on chicken breast, too.
Cans of Progresso Traditional soups, including chicken noodle, are priced at $1 at Stop & Shop and at 99 cents, limit three, at Walgreens drug store. They’re also offered at buy one, get one at Shaw’s. Try to use the $1 off four cans or $1.50 off five manufacturer’s coupons.
Split chicken breasts in 4- to 6-pound packages are 89 cents a pound at Hannaford. Split breasts in 3-pound or larger packages at Shaws are 99 cents a pound. At Stop & Shop, boneless chicken breasts in 3-pound or larger packages.
Orange juice is priced low at a couple of supermarkets, too., Tropicana half-gallons are $2.48 at Shaw’s through Monday, and Florida’s Natural half-gallons are $2.50 at Market Basket. You can also print out extra $1 off two coupons at Shaws.com’s Print a coupon site.
Beef is discounted at a couple of supermarkets this week. If you hurry, you can get sirloin tip steak at Shaw’s in any size package at $3.99 a pound through Monday. Hannaford has boneless N.Y. sirloin steak for $2.49 a pound.
Shaw’s also has 6- to 12-ounce bags of Fresh Express salad blends at buy one, get one. Those bags are two for $4 at Market Basket, which also has California celery at $1.29 a bunch and has 24-ounce loaves of Friehofer’s Country Breads at $1.50.
Cereal is on sale at a couple of places; Stop & Shop has varieties of Kellogg’s cereal boxes, including 18-ounce Frosted Mini-Wheats and 20-ounce Raisin Bran, at two for $3, limit four boxes. Walgreens has varieties of General Mills cereals, including 11.5- to 12.8-ounce Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, for $1.99.
Among other good deals at Walgreens are Bic lighters in Classic six-packs or Multipurpose singles for two for $5, limit four packs; 1-liter plus 8.45-ounce Listerine bottles two for $11 plus $5 in Register Rewards and Listerine Smart Rinse or Agent Cool Blue mouthwash at two for $9 plus $4.50 in Register Rewards.
CVS has L’Oreal and Maybelline lip color, Revlon Beyond Natural and Maybelline face, eye and nail color at buy one, get one. Get $10 in ExtraBucks when you spend $20 on Excedrin products. Certain products, including Nova Max and Bayer Contour blood glucose monitoring systems, EARinse seawater rinse and Sleep MD (10 count), are free after ExtraBucks. Colgate Total Advanced toothpaste in the 4-ounce tube is 99 cents after $2 in ExtraBucks (and use a $1 off coupon). Finally, spend $20 on select General Mills and Folgers products and get $10 in ExtraBucks.
