It happens twice a year in the Midwest, a war between two rival pro football teams. This time it will take place on the frozen tundra, now more like chilly plastic, in the land of cheese makers.

Packerland (Green Bay and the rest of the dairy state) is looking for ways to greet Brett Favre when the Vikings come to Lambeau Field on November 1 to take on the Packers. Personally, I think the Packer fans should all take off their cheese hats, drop their drawers and moon the once-loved-but-not-anymore quarterback.

Growing up a Viking fan, I wasn’t sure who to cheer for during last night’s Monday night football game between and Packers and Vikings. Check out this video from the Associated Press web site of Packer fans smashing a car to “honor” Vikings quarterback and former cheddarhead Brett Favre.

I saw this photo on the Associated Press wire tonight, and I just had to put it up on the blog. Now it’s obvious this gigantic Packers player didn’t ride this tiny bike all the way to practice from his home.

Just like a woman, the former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback, now a wanna-be Minnesota Vikings starter, just can’t make up his mind whether to come out of retirement or not.

Unlike cheddar cheese, quarterbacks do not get better with age!

So I hear a blue moon did come around, and it was a cold day in H-E-double toothpicks! Brett Favre finally decided to retire - at least until ice fishing season is over anyway!

We used to call them the flower boys, or the glory boys. You know, the guys that collect all the recognition for the hard work done by others, collect the huge paychecks and have kids mauling them for autographs.

Are you looking for a Halloween costume idea? How about dressing up as your favorite athlete, with a little humor thrown in.
**How about a Brett Favre costume. You could “pass” out treats instead of receiving it. If you’re anything like him, you’ll definitely throw the candy in the wrong hands!
**Tom Brady would make a good Halloween character too. No need for a uniform there. Just limp a little, and make sure you are accompanied by at least one woman (preferably pregnant).
