Green Bay Packer fans wonder how to greet Brett Favre - I say moon him!

Posted by bob hammerstrom

Packerland (Green Bay and the rest of the dairy state) is looking for ways to greet Brett Favre when the Vikings come to Lambeau Field on November 1 to take on the Packers. Personally, I think the Packer fans should all take off their cheese hats, drop their drawers and moon the once-loved-but-not-anymore quarterback.

Brett Favre shows his feminine side

Posted by bob hammerstrom

Just like a woman, the former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback, now a wanna-be Minnesota Vikings starter, just can’t make up his mind whether to come out of retirement or not.

Has David Ortiz become a big paperweight in the Red Sox lineup?

Hey Merrimack fan, take a pill!

I had a headache last night, and ringing in my ears. It didn’t come from my car stereo, and not from cheering on the Red Sox last night. I blame it on the short woman sitting behind me at the Class L Junior Varsity Basketball Tournament yesterday at Manchester West High School.

Poor Sportsmanship - Parents Actions At The Field

Posted by bob hammerstrom

When I think of poor sportsmanship, my thoughts are of fighting hockey players, soccer red cards, John McEnroe, and the picture I shot following a Rothsay, Minn., football playoff game 20 years ago. Do you remember the phrase, “Sticks and stones can break my bones, but names will never hurt me?” Well, they do!

Take me out to the ball game

Posted by bob hammerstrom

Was it the hype of the loud crowd or the bright stadium lights? Maybe it was the mascots or the obnoxious fans that made an impact. Or, could it be the foot-long hot dogs and Cracker Jacks, or vendors shouting “Peanuts” that rings a bell? What do you remember about the first professional sports game you [...]
