Packerland (Green Bay and the rest of the dairy state) is looking for ways to greet Brett Favre when the Minnesota Vikings “yump over da river and cut tru da woods ta” Lambeau Field on November 1 to take on the Packers. That’s according to an article I found in the La Crosse (Wis) Tribune.

Personally, I think Packer fans should all take off their cheese hats, drop their drawers and moon the once-loved-but-not-anymore quarterback. Or, maybe they could all bring one cracker and piece of cheese to share with all Brett’s whining.

Can you tell I love the guy? Growing up a Vikings fan, it’s almost embarrassing to have a Packers quarterback leading your favorite NFL team. I said almost. Thankfully, my loyalty switched to the New England Patriots several years back.

Wisconsinites are trying to figure out just what to do for, or to, Favre when he enters the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field (not too frozen now that they’ve switched to artificial turf). If Mother Nature cooperates, maybe they could snowball the guy. Better yet, give the bus driver $20 to drive Favre up to Duluth one-way before game time! Tell him John Madden wants him to go ice fishing!
