NCAA scholarship links and facts for parents of athletes

Did you know you could receive a college scholarship to play badminton, squash or water polo? Or, maybe you are a team handball player or an equestrian. Those are just a few of the scholarships that can be offered to students.
I was doing a little digging through the web for NCAA scholarship regulations and college athletic policies and found some interesting information. According to the EducationPlanner.org website, there are limits to the number of scholarships a school can offer. Their statistics are from last year, but I would imagine this year’s numbers would be similar.
The NCAA web site has much more information for families of athletes to read. When I Googled NCAA scholarships, the search engine came up with more than a million hits. Most of these sites are repetitive, but here are a few to check out. I don’t recommend or endorse any of these links. They are merely the more interesting and informational ones I found.
