Skittle Shoes….Do they make for a faster game?

Have you ever noticed all the different colors of soccer cleats … looks like a bag of Skittles! Flashes of fluorescence grace the field… Swoosh… wow, aren’t they fast! Wow… but do they work? Are the kids running faster? Are the shoes used in the tactical approach to the game… will they blind their opponent into a stupor? Does the opposite team cave with intimidation from such a special shoe? Who knows… I see the kids comparing cleats on the sidelines, ruffles up, they strut with pride. One kids got bright orange, another wears lime, and yet another is borderline fuchsia. Who knew… can’t help but think of that Skittles commercial… ya know which one I mean? Anyway, the rainbow of power is represented by an array of manufacturers catering to those who yearn for the ‘gatta have it’ styles. Some kids have multiple pairs in their growing, or is that glowing, collection while others still ceremoniously adorn a more traditional boring, navy blue, non-glare version, of the same shoe. Who is quicker? All I know is there are some happy parents who were lucky enough, and fast enough, to have effectively directed their child to other end of the display and succeeded from walking out the door with a box of candy.
