Boston Red Sox uniform designer must be colorblind

It was Christmas last night at Fenway Park in Boston. Or, was that Earth Day, with a St. Patrick’s Day twist? All Brad Penny needed was a little more red on his uniform, and a silver beard to pass as Santa Claus on the mound!
The hefty hurler had to have the Minnesota Twins a little confused in the second game of their double-header Wednesday, wearing their green uniforms, red sox, green hats, and red long-sleeve Under Armour. Oh, my! I doubt his average 94-mile-per-hour fast ball was blinding them, but I’m sure his uniform was.
Was it a clever tactic by the Red Sox management to surprise the Twins with the awful looking attire, to sweep the series from the Twinkies? Were they really celebrating Earth Day in Boston, a city topped with asphalt and buildings? Or, had the Irishmen ran out of clean uniforms, and dipped into the laundry basket from St. Patty’s Day? It could have been all of the above, or an overpaid uniform fashion designer from the North Pole, who can’t tell the difference between red and green.
