Interested in playing a high school sport this spring in New Hampshire? Chances are your tryouts will begin today, March 23,  after school. Check out the NHIAA checklist for eligibility requirements, to make sure you are “good to go.”  

Fortunately for the schools in the southern half of the state, fields are drying off quickly. My wife, Nancy and I spent Saturday morning on our local baseball field working with my son, Brandon. Although the field was a little muddy, we got in some infield ground balls and batting practice. He’s been working out with his NH Grizzlies traveling AAU baseball club through the winter, so his pitching arm is in good shape. But, I think mine is three inches longer today, and boy is it sore!
