JV basketball tourney begins Saturday

Rarely making the sports headlines, and sometimes forgotten about, the class L junior varsity basketball teams will begin a four-day tournament beginning Saturday, March 7, 2009, hosted at Manchester West High School. The single elimination tourney will end Tuesday, March 11, at 7 p.m. with the championship game.
Ranked on top this year is Manchester Memorial, who takes on Manchester West at 4:30 p.m.
Other games Saturday are:
Central (8) vs. Merrimack (9) at 3 p.m.
Exeter (4) vs. Nashua South (13) at Noon
Spaulding (5) vs. Londonderry (12) at 1:30 p.m.
Pinkerton (2) vs. Goffstown (15) at 9 a.m.
Dover (7) vs. Winnacunnett (10) at 10:30 a.m.
Bishop Guertin (3) vs. Alvirne (14) at 7:30 p.m.
Salem (6) vs. Nashua South (11) at 6 p.m.
