Will Tom Brady retire after this knee injury?

As a photojournalist, I wouldn’t be able to retire if I hurt my knee, but Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady certainly could afford to. The Patriots kept Brady out of all the preseason games to rehabilitate a different leg injury, and in the opening moments of yesterday’s first regular season game against Kansas City, he was hit in the side of his knee by Bernard Pollard after releasing a long pass, that was caught and fumbled.

In the blink of an eye, a knee was buckled, and a Patriots season is questionable. Will Matt Cassel be able to step up as he did Sunday, to score enough points to win football games? Sunday’s game, played well by both teams, went right down to the final seconds when the Chiefs had a chance to tie it up.
Tom Brady has been the engine of the Patriots offense, surrounded by talented receivers, running backs and pro-bowl linemen. He has also been noted for his looks. Will Tom Brady leave the turf and head to Hollywood? Will he star in soap operas? The quiet Brady may join the ranks of Joe Namath or Peyton Manning, showing his legs and babyface in television commercials?
