Billy Gillispie has filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against the University of Kentucky Athletic Association, his employer the last two years while serving as the men’s basketball coach at the University of Kentucky.
The lawsuit says that the UKAA has yet to pay Gillispie the $6 million he says he is still owed.
Defendant has breached its [...]
We’re about to find out. Tonight is the NBA draft lottery and the Kings have the best chance of getting that No. 1 pick (25 percent). The Wizards and Clippers are right behind at just below 18 percent while the Soni … er … Thunder have an 11.9 percent chance and the Timberwolves and Grizzlies [...]
John Wall, considered by many to be the top basketball prospect in this year’s recruiting class, has decided to sign with Kentucky and new coach John Calipari. Wall stated his desire to play for “Coach Cal” as a reason for choosing the Wildcats, despite the fact that he might have to compete with Eric Bledsoe, another [...]
For some, leaving college is just hard. Matt Leinart said as much when he decided to stay for a fifth season at USC. Personally, I spent about three weeks moping about not being a college student anymore, and it took about a year to stop longing for those days.
Maybe its the same for Greg Paulus, [...]
Florida International University introduced Isiah Thomas as its new head coach on Wednesday and Thomas made a somewhat shocking announcement.
He’s going to coach the Panthers in 2009-10 for free.

For the last week, most of the news not relating to the Final Four has been about coaches going here and there or nowhere.
Now it’s about what players are doing - whether they are staying in school or going to the NBA. And if they’re going to the NBA, are they going all-in and hiring [...]
So it will be North Carolina and Michigan State playing for a national championship on Monday night at Ford Field in Detroit.
In the first semifinal, Michigan State got off to a great start against Connecticut and the pro-Spartan crowd helped lift MSU. UConn made a run midway through the first half to take the lead, [...]
With North Carolina’s win over Michigan State in the national championship game on Monday, the 2008-09 college basketball season has come to an end. While it was a fun ride, I’m sad to see this season go. It’s a long six months until Midnight Madness in October.
While it wasn’t the greatest way to end the [...]
