“I am the queen of the castle.” Those were some of the words sung by three-year-old Isabel Gerstein of Nashua, N.H., while she twirled and danced in front of a large wall mirror outside her bedroom.

Most nature photography is a no-brainer - it looks much more beautiful in color. But, these shaded falls, in the shade of the surrounding maple and oak trees screamed black and white!

Every spring I look forward to the first flowers emerging up through the leaves coating our perennial gardens. This flatbush Crocus plant pierced right through the thick oak leaves covering it - a sign that I better get out there soon and remove the leaves from the bark mulch below.

Here’s a couple photos that didn’t make it into today’s newspaper from the clowning class at Saint Christopher School in Nashua.

After the interview, Ryan’s brother, Liam proudly set his camera on the dining room table in front of me. I thought perhaps he was comparing the size of my company Canon Mark III to his plastic point and shoot toy. What neat little eyeballs it has on the top. I don’t have those on mine. And it talks too. How cool!

If you ask any photographer, they will tell you bigger is better. If you asked Debbie she will tell you bigger is better! So is bigger really better?

With a winter like we’ve had this year, who in the world would want to move to New Hampshire?
So, is it true that robins fly south for the winter? Are you sure?
