I see no humor in photographing car accidents, except for the bumper sticker I spotted today on the back of this old Ford pickup truck, which was crushed like an accordion when it struck the side of a dump truck on a city street in Hudson, New Hampshire this morning.
Yes, he could have used a breath mint, as “Bolo” a Pelham police dog in training, walked up to me to check out the camera while I photographed him getting groomed today, May 13, 2009, during a training session in searches. Although, Bolo wasn’t as affectionate as my golden retriever, “Penny,” who licks visitors like a Popsicle, he was curious of the camera.
There was a reason the regulars at our bird feeders were away this morning. Outnumbered and outsized, the chick-a -dees, nuthatches and finches had to wait for breakfast until the flock of wild turkeys finished their meal.
Don’t worry when your son leaves one in his pants pocket, and it gets run through the laundry (car wash). After all, he just might become a newsphotographer some day!
