Write Al McKeon and I visited with Maurice Sposato today. Maurice, AKA Kid Sharkey, is a former fighter and trainer. He’s also a (former) U.S. Marine, having fought on Tarawa during WWII. He had some tips for Al-
I’ve been shooting elections since the mid-80’s. Some of those were is tiny old country schoolhouses in rural Minnesota, surrounded by open fields. I don’t remember long lines of voters, just pickups and tractors lined up along gravel roads.
Staff photographer Grant Morris is working hard. He was on the street early outside of the Amherst Street School polling place in Nashua gathering content for his election ‘08 multimedia piece. Stay tuned.
I work for a small newspaper. Budgets are tight so I’m expected to do the work that many do with several assistants. Yesterday, I was assigned to shoot the first ever Miss Monadnock Beauty Pageant in Wilton. Access was dismal and so was the light in the areas where I was allowed to shoot. After [...]

Mark Turner is his name and he’s a tremendous shooter who’ll add a new layer of storytelling to our publication. He’s a second year student at Brooks [...]
Anyone who knows a bit about me knows that I’d really like to have an old caboose as a vacation place. Set it up somewhere on the shore or river. Just a little cabin to be a home base to hit in between trips out with the flyrod. I’ve researched a bit about moving and [...]
Standing around, wading, originally uploaded by Nashua Telegraph.
Here’s Dan. Dan is the photo editor at The Press Citizen in Iowa City.
Dan used to work here as a photographer. It’s nice to touch base with
an alum. Now he’s up to his eyeballs, well, hips, in flood water.
Let’s be careful out there.
Oh, and for those who may [...]
