CUTLINE: Nashua and Hudson firefighters investigate a duplex after extinguishing flames at 5 Twin Meadow Drive in Hudson. A fire broke out at around 8:30 p.m. ripping through both floors. No injuries were reported and the cause is still under investigation.

THOUGHTS: On 1 April I photographed this house that burned from a fire. It wasn’t a huge fire but it kicked up a lot of smoke. The lighting conditions were less than ideal but the spotlight from the side worked to help this frame immensly. It’s always hard to see the occupants looking on to see their home in a tattered shape. My heart goes out to them.
