Sitting through an interitalview today at the Cavanaugh’s home in Nashua, I listened to the story about a very brave young man who has undergone so much for his age, and yet will be going in to Children’s Hospital next week for another open heart surgery. Ryan Cavanaugh will undergo open heart surgery next week.

After the interview, Ryan’s brother, Liam proudly set his camera on the dining room table in front of me. I thought perhaps he was comparing the size of my company Canon Mark III to his plastic point and shoot toy. What neat little eyeballs it has on the top. I don’t have those on mine. And it talks too. How cool!

 Oblivious to the fact that his big brother (a fourth-grader) was soon going to endure major surgery, Liam watched as I set my remote strobe up to photograph Ryan drawing. I don’t think he understood what a flash does, but it didn’t matter to him. He just wanted to see what his picture looked like on the preview screen of my digital camera.
