vacation

Anyone who knows a bit about me knows that I’d really like to have an old caboose as a vacation place. Set it up somewhere on the shore or river. Just a little cabin to be a home base to hit in between trips out with the flyrod. I’ve researched a bit about moving and renovating these old things. It’s quite a task, I know. Someday, maybe.
I’ve been back a few weeks now. Mid coast Maine this year. We explored Boothbay and visited the Boothbay Railway Village.
It’s really a treat for a kid. Well, ok. Me too. Nice thing about being the father of a youngster is that when looking over the cereal selection at the grocery store I can justify getting the Cheerios with the Batman disc launcher in it and not just settle for the regular Cheerios. Anyway, nice little museum.
Oh yeah. These were taken w/my wife’s Nikon one touch. My dear, beloved CoolPix bit the dust while on a backpacking trip with my oldest on the AT down south. It lived a good life.
