Crazy fast, crazy far or just plain nuts?

Running is relative.
Casual joggers (not to mention those who don’t run at all) might think marathoners are nuts.

A kinder, gentler trail marathon

Though I won’t be running it myself (see post below), I can recommend the Stone Cat 50 and marathon to anyone who’s up for it.
