Bobcats attack, and anti-hunters do same
Filed under Uncategorized by andrew wolfe at 4:39 pm
I had a fun story (if I do say so myself) on a guy who was jumped by a bobcat while turking hunting way out west in Mass. I was honestly surprised that it brought out all sorts of snide, anti-hunting comments. What’s up with that? This is NH, right?
I don’t hunt myself, but I should. I am omnivorous, I eat my share of meat. Hunting is a far more ethical way to gather meat… the animal lives a good life, then dies a death kinder than most in the wild. While I respect the position of those who argue for animal rights and vegetarianism, I have nothing but contempt for meat-eaters who bash hunting.
We all have our favorite targets, I suppose, but if you enjoy the outdoors, and wide open spaces, consider that hunters have historically been a powerful political force for conservation.
Can’t we all just get along?
