Take a hike: Dunstable shows off Unkety Brook land
Filed under Hiking, trails by andrew wolfe at 11:15 am
If you haven’t explored the Arched Bridge Conservation area lately (off Middle Dunstable Road, literally spitting distance over the state line), you might consider a look. The Dunstable Rural Land Trust has opened and marked several trails previously posted as off-limits, thanks to the wisdom and generosity of voters at a recent town meting.
This, too, sounds like a pleasant stroll…
“Springtime Along the Nashua: NRWA Hike”
Join longtime Dunstable resident and NRWA Board President, Judy Larter, for a walk along the banks of the Nashua River on Saturday, May 2, from 10:00-11:30 AM, in Dunstable. Our hike follows a walkable corridor of conservation land that abuts the river and leads to the confluence of Unkety Brook. We’ll enjoy sights of spring wildlife and wildflowers. This walk is free and open to the public. You’re invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the banks of the Nashua River.
This hike is part of a series of free programs, open to the public, which the Nashua River Watershed Association is offering in celebration of its 40th Anniversary. Over the course of the year, NRWA will be presenting a free public program in each of our 32 communities; visit www.NashuaRiverWatershed.org for additional information.
Registration is required. To register and receive directions to our meeting place, please contact the NRWA at (978) 448-0299, or email Pam Gill, NRWA Development Associate, at PamG@NashuaRiverWatershed.org. The Nashua River Watershed Association is an environmental non-profit organization that depends on memberships for support.
