Spring fever

I’ve got the new bike bug, and i’ve got it bad. It’s a common affliction this time of year, along with rider’s itch (you know, itching to ride). I still love my ‘00 Sprint RS, but the sporty riding position doesn’t agree with my arthritic hip, and I’ve concluded that since I may never learn to avoid locking the brakes in a panic stop, I should get a bike with ABS. I am leaning toward a Triumph Tiger, but the BMW R1200R caught my eye, too, as did the gorgeous Aprilia Shiver 750 (the company doesn’t exactly brag about it, but you can get them with ABS)… in short something upright and sporty, more practical than hooliganesque, with ABS… any other suggestions? Anybody want to buy a good used Brit sport touring bike?
