Lakes Region trail system

I had never heard of the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway before today, though it includes two of my favorite snowboard/ski mountains.
The Lakes Region is a bit far to drive just for a casual run, but these trails would make a great daytrip destination. Since I know pretty much zip about it, I'll just pass on the website and press release we got:
SUNAPEE-RAGGED-KEARSARGE GREENWAY COALITION 2007 SUMMER HIKES
The Sunapee-Ragged-Karsarge (SRK) Greenway Coalition has planned 14 summer walks and hikes both on and off the Greenway trail. The purpose of the hikes is to see and enjoy our part of New Hampshire. Please contact the leader a day before to get details on start time and location. Ample water and snacks are essential, as are good walking shoes or boots. Call leaders to sign up. 16 June (Sat.) - Peter Sabin (456-3473) A 3- to 4-hour hike on an old CCC trail in Warner’s Mink Hills. (M)
23 June (Sat.) - Wayne Nicoll (735-5721) A rigorous traverse of both summits of Ragged Mountain. (D)
JULY HIKES
7 July (Sat.) - Sandy Sonnichsen (313-3059) Hike over Mt. Sunapee to Lake Solitude. 6 miles (M)
11 July (Wed.) - Gerry Gold (526-2857) Newport Town Forest, The Pinnacle and Coit Mountain. 7 miles. (M)
14 July (Sat.) - Gerry Gold (526-2857) A work trip to repair the Barlow Trail on Mt. Kearsarge. Recover with dinner at Newbury’s Old Home Day (M)
16 July (Mon.) - Mickey Spofford (526-6568) Our second Valley Quest hike at Sargent-Hayes Farm in New London, accompanied by author Meredith Miller. Primarily for kids and parents, but all are welcome. (E)
21 July (Sat.) - Dave Cook (526-9057) “Mystery Figure 8 Hike” in New London, beginning and ending at Whitney Brook Road About 7 miles (M)
28 July (Sat.) - Brian Faughnan (526-7838) In Springfield, some trails, some bushwhacking, finish up near Piper Pond Road. 5.4 mi. (M).
AUGUST HIKES
4 August (Sat.) - Charlie Killam (493-2006) Mt. Cardigan (3,121 ft.), our area’s highest mountain. Car pool to Canaan. An all-day climb. D)
5 August (Sun.) - Frank Perrotta (763-9280) Hike Newbury’s Fishersfield Trail on historic Bly Hill. 4.5miles M)
11 August (Sat.) - Andy Hager (526-2846) A loop, starting at Great Brook Bridge in New London and ending at the NLCC’s Dura Crockett Trail. 7 miles. (M)
18 August (Sat.) - Ralph Spofford (526-6568) A 3- 4-hour hike in New London from the Wolf Tree Trail east to the SRK Greenway-Pleasant Lake High-Webb trails. (M)
19 August (Sun.) - Gerry Gold (526-2857) Five miles on Class 6 and town sections of Old Province Road, arriving at Sutton’s Old Home Day celebration. (E)
25 August (Sat.) - Ann and Marc Davis (927-4596) A new hike of their "Woods without Gile" land within Gile State Forest. (E to M)
