Race called for snow

Nashua has lost the distinction of hosting the first trail race of the season, as 3C Productions Race Director Michael Amarello has postponed this Saturday's 5k in Mine Falls Park.

It's true that MFP trails get pretty nasty as the snow ages, but that's because they are so well used - the snow gets packed into ice. I ran there yesterday afternoon, myself. It was great. I think I will apply my registration $ toward another of his 5K races, the Loco Moose 5K, July 29 at my other favorite stomping grounds, Beaver Brook in Hollis. It's a pricey race, because everyone who signs up gets a pair of shoes from Loco Running, a New Hampshire based shoe company. I'd never heard of them until hearing about the race series, so I guess their sponsorship is paying off. I've never tried their shoes, nor met anyone who has, either. If anyone has first-hand (feet, rather) experience with them, please post a quick review.
