7.6 miles, all uphill

Just a reminder, folks… the lottery for the Mount Washington Road Race runs from March 1 through the 15.
I have no idea what the odds are, nor what it would be like to run uphill for that distance… it would be interesting to find out…
UPDATE 2/28 -I haven't decided whether to enter the lottery, myself. If I do, I will be more than half-hoping I don't win a spot, but if I do I figure I will run it… I need plenty of hill training anyway, so I went out last night and ran up and down Long Hill four times. I'd like to say it was fun, but I'd be lying…
I do know a way to skip the lottery and guarantee yourself a spot in the 2008 race, but it isn't going to be easy. All you've got to do, according to USA Track and Field, is run all six races in the USATF New England Mountain Circuit. Most of them are pretty short (albiet steep), but the Pack Monadnock race sounds brutal… and it's all on pavement…
