It struck me that it would be useful to put together a bunch of links for online trail maps all in one place. (Read More...)

I had never heard of the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway before today, though it includes two of my favorite snowboard/ski mountains. (Read More...)Pitch in for a Mighty Fine ParkAndrew | 13 April, 2007 07:50 | (155)
I believe I may have mentioned, once or twice, that Mine Falls Park is one of my favorite local running spots. (Read More...) cool toolAndrew | 06 April, 2007 15:59 | (120)
I just stumbled on a new (to me) resource. It's a trail guide for all the towns around this area, courtesy of the Souhegan Valley Land Trust. More to explore!

I don’t get out to Beaver Brook often enough to tire of it, but a change of scenery can be nice all the same. (Read More...)Spring uncoilsAndrew | 12 March, 2007 09:04 | (110)
Here's hoping for a fast and full thaw. As of Saturday evening, the trails in Mine Falls Park were wretched ribbons of hard, lumpy ice, coated with a slick drool of melt. (Read More...) coming in from the coldAndrew | 19 February, 2007 16:35 | (125)
Since I didn't exhaust the Potanipo trail system, I had plenty left in my legs, so we drove to the Eastman Meadow trailhead at Beaver Brook and ran for another 1.5 hours. (Read More...)potanipo rail trailAndrew | 19 February, 2007 14:21 | (194)
I’d never heard of the Potanipo Rail Trail. I first noticed it on the lower left corner of my Beaver Brook trail map. Once I saw those little green lines leading tantalizingly off the edge of the paper, I had to go see for myself. (Read More...)lincoln mass.Andrew | 13 February, 2007 10:08 | (112)
I celebrated Lincoln's birthday a day early, by going to visit my sister in Lincoln, Mass. I got out to check out some of the local trails, while I was there. (Read More...)
The rest of WapackAndrew | 01 February, 2007 07:46 | (143)
Michelle, Clover and I ran and hiked the southern end of the Wapack Trail on a warm winter day (it galls me that I can write such a thing of New Hampshire!) a couple months back. (Read More...)N. PackAndrew | 31 January, 2007 07:00 | (189)
I’ve hiked up Mount Monadnock nearly every year since I was a little squirt, and hiked Pack Monadnock more times than I can recall but for some reason, I hadn’t made it up North Pack until this winter. I recommend it. (Read More...)sweat freezesAndrew | 30 January, 2007 06:31 | (141)
Steve and I got out for a couple hours in Hollis last Saturday. It was a challenge trying to figure how best to dress for the cold, and we turned to the roads after finding the trails a bit too slick. I enjoy running in the winter, most of the time. I can’t think of anything more beautiful than a forest full of fresh snow glowing in the light of a full moon. Also, it’s neat how the freezing sweat makes my eyelids sticky. If it's really cold, you can turn a fleece hat into a hardshell helmet. (Read More...)About Mesearcharchives
