My first trail race of the season is coming up Saturday, and I confess to being a little nervous. (Read More...)
Race called for snowAndrew | 20 March, 2007 06:42 | (130)
Nashua has lost the distinction of hosting the first trail race of the season, as 3C Productions Race Director Michael Amarello has postponed this Saturday's 5k in Mine Falls Park. (Read More...)
grand plansAndrew | 09 March, 2007 07:25 | (129)
I’ve been signing up for races, and thinking about the coming season. I figure if I write it all down, it may help to motivate me... (Read More...)flinging mudAndrew | 08 March, 2007 07:49 | (289)
What is it about mud? New Hampshire has a great tradition of football in the mud, and the Muddy Moose may be the messiest trail race around. (Read More...)snowshoe marathon and ultraAndrew | 05 March, 2007 10:43 | (136)
Sherpa John wrote a nice report on the snowshoe marathon he helped to organize this past weekend in Pittsfield Vt. My own snowshoe outing pales in comparison! There's also an ultra planned in the same area this summer, he writes.

Just a reminder, folks… the lottery for the Mount Washington Road Race runs from March 1 through the 15. (Read More...)Northern NipmuckAndrew | 22 February, 2007 10:42 | (204)
Speaking, as I was, of N. Nipmuck, here's the application, courtesy of race honcho James Campiformio: The race is out-and-back, 16 miles, and does NOT cover the same section of trail as Nipmuck Marathon, he writes. first trail race of the seasonAndrew | 22 February, 2007 08:51 | (253)
So far as I can tell, the first trail race anywhere in New England this spring will take place on Saturday, March 24. The good news is it's right here in Nashua. The bad news (for me) is that it's a wee little 5K. UPDATE 3/20 - worse news... it's cancelled! (Read More...)go johnny goAndrew | 14 February, 2007 11:13 | (119)
Cheers to "Sherpa" John Lacroix, a former Manchester/Derry area guy now living and teaching high school out by the seacoast. SJ writes on Cool Running that he's recently signed up for his first (and second) 100 milers! (Read More...)dreaming of springAndrew | 07 February, 2007 13:42 | (224)
I love silly puns, so I think it’s hilarious that the Western Mass. Athletic Club keeps standings in an annual Grand Tree series (not to be confused with the USATF “Gran Prix” series). (Read More...)Wapack RacesAndrew | 02 February, 2007 07:30 | (156)
There are at least two Wapack Trail races, and I plan to do at least one of them this year. (Read More...)local trail racesAndrew | 26 January, 2007 14:42 | (139)
Former Moose Miler Mike Amarello writes that his 3C Race Productions will be putting on some races in Mine Falls Park and Beaver Brook this upcoming season: Luv2Run Nashua 5K on 3/24/07
Moose On The Loose 10 Mile Trail Race & Relay on 8/19/07 Jack London 10K Trail Race on 11/3/07 (in conjunction with Mark Walsh) and lastly, a 5K in Beaver Brook in Hollis on 7/29. "This race has a $36 entry fee - but every runner leaves with a custom fitted pair of Loco Sports running shoes," he writes. "Unfortunately, the Moose Milers Trail Race Series that I put on for the past 3 years on Monday nights might not return in 2007 unless someone steps up to take it over." He mentioned something about a baby, and workload, you know the story... we can only do so much in this life. I'll soon be writing more about races I've run and others I hope to do this season... stay tuned. Bigger = better?Andrew | 25 January, 2007 12:36 | (141)
I’m not much of a joiner, myself, but I appreciate the heck out of running clubs. Without them, who would organize the races? About Mesearcharchives
