Muddy Moose moved to May

Andrew | 14 April, 2008 15:25 | (127)

Speaking of trails and readiness, this year's Muddy Moose race has been postponed due to snow.

RD Fergus Cullen writes:

Dear Friends of the Muddy Moose Trail Races:
After surveying the trails this morning, I'm afraid I have no choice but to
postpone the Muddy Moose Trail Race (sponsored by Xterra Xduro) due to snow
conditions.  The new date will be Sunday, May 11, at 10:00 a.m.  Everything
else is the same.  Please help spread the word to your trail running
buddies.

There may be no snow where you live...but Wolfeboro got over 120 inches
this year and 90% of the course is still under snow/ice, and there's no way
it will be clear by this weekend and I can't be sure about 4/26-27 either.
The following weekend is the Seven Sisters trail race and I didn't want to
create a conflict with that.  So, May 11 it is.  Yes, Mother's Day.  We'd
have a conflict with something no matter what we did.

I know this will inconvenience some of you.  If you have any questions,
please let me know.  Otherwise, hope to see you on May 11 instead.
