How to get the guideAndrew | 12 March, 2008 14:18 | (131)
The aforementioned Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsage Greenway trail guide is out and available locally at Toadstool Books in Milford, or by mail order, the SRKG Coalition announced today.
The Supapee-Ragged-Kearsage Greenway is a network of trails in the area described by those peaks; you can learn more about it on the group's website. The guide includes handy information such as trail descriptions, parking information and maps. You can get a copy by mailing $10 (and your return address, obviously) to: S-R-K-G Coalition PO Box 1684, New London, NH 03257-1684. If you happen to be in the area, you can also pick up a copy at Toadstool Books in Milford or Peterborough, Morgan Hill Bookstore, New London; Main Street BookEnds, Warner; Dartmouth Bookstore, Hanover; Gibson's Bookstore, Concord; Sunapee Attractions, N.H. Route 103, Newbury; and at New London Village Sports, Main Street, New London; and in Vermont at the Norwich Bookstore in Norwich and the Yankee Bookshop in Woodstock. Here's what it looks like: http://blogs.nashuatelegraph.com/off_track/resource/offtrack/Guidebook%20Cover.JPG I know from personal experience that you can sometimes find some other excellent local guides (the Wapack Trail guide, and the Monadnock Sunapee Greenway guide, and the Monadnock-Metacomet guide to name three), at EMS stores, and I've occasionally seen them at Barnes&Noble too. You also can order those guides through the websites.
