Giddyup!

Andrew | 06 November, 2007 15:38 | (235)

In case anyone missed it, my colleague Karen Lovett wrote up a nice article on the area's newest official conservation and recreation area, Merrimack's Horse Hill Nature Preserve.

The area's trails have long been used (and occasionally misused), but now there's even a parking area, making it easier for folks from out of town to check it out. I plan to visit with my bicycle soon.

Share and enjoy.

Horse Hill, etc. [Reply]

Andrew, just discovered your excellent blog. Horse Hill is a great biking and hiking area. I've been exploring a number of biking areas near here, and I've been keeping track of them using Google Maps. See http://beanroad.blogspot.com/2007/08/mountain-biking-new-hampshire.html

More maps mo' better [Reply]

Thanks Ed, I've added your map to my list of area trail maps. Very cool. I can confirm that Fessenden Hill Road is promising; there's a lot of trail back there along the state lines. I once found a PDF of a hand-drawn map of TSF online, but misplaced it... I used to ride in Merrimack often, before the Grater Road area got so scratched up by logging and quads.
