More better bicycle routes

Andrew | 11 October, 2007 16:24 | (297)

Did you know that the New Hampshire Department of Transportation produces maps showing recommended bicycle routes all around the state?

Of course you did. They've been available online for quite a while, right here. A new batch of maps is in the works, however, and you can get a sneak peak at them, or share your favorite routes, at a meeting Oct. 24 up in Concord.

The current maps appear to have been drawn up with commuting in mind. The new maps will include off-road trails and recreational loops, and the crucial topographic information, so you can guess whether that 40-mile round trip ride will take you all day, or a few hours.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m., Wednesday Oct. 24, in Room 114 at the NH DOT HQ, 7 Hazen Drive, Concord. It's about a half-hour drive from Nashua... or if you have time, you could consult the maps and figure out a bicycle route.

Share and enjoy.
