Wonder drug

Andrew | 07 August, 2007 15:09 | (278)

Two studies have been published just lately touting the benefits of my favorite recreational drug: caffeine.

Last week, researchers at Rutgers University announced that both exercise and coffee help reduce the risk of skin cancer, and combining the two creates even more potent protection, in mice anyway.

Today I read reports of research in France showing that coffee helps older women to keep their memories sharp. Alas, it doesn't work for guys... at least I think it said something like that.

It's reassuring to hear that coffee may be good for people, because I am  addicted to it.

UPDATE: I have taken the liberty of deleting the commentary by USMC Sgt. Peter Macdonald, because it had nothing to do with this post or even this blog. I moved it to the opinion section of our public forums (see link next to the blogs tab). Please keep on writing in the forums, Sgt. Macdonald, and thank you for your service to our country!

Share and enjoy.
