Soggy bottom blues

Andrew | 18 May, 2007 06:45 | (151)

Running in the rain isn't so bad.

A nice steady drizzle adds a bit of romance to a run. Sure, it's also pretty cold of late, so you need to dress up a bit, and your sodden clothes will get heavy and chaffe. True, it's nigh impossible to step around the puddles on narrow trails, and your legs will get muddy... so, OK, running in the rain isn't all that great, either.

The worst part, though, comes after you head off to work the next morning, or later that morning, and after a few minutes of driving you realize that your car seat is still saturated because you didn't think to bring a towel, for after your run. Now your trousers are blotting up the remains of that rain, and you've got them soggy bottom blues.
