Paved paradise

It came as no great surprise that spending half an hour on the trainer here and there over the winter didn't do much to keep my legs in shape for riding the local roads.

Still, it was great to get out and pedal a bit this weekend, even if I did have to use the granny gears an awful lot. Feeling a need for speed, I did a stretch on the Nashua River bike path - nice and flat, so I could keep up my cadence. Got to hand it to the City of Nashua... It was a great idea to extend the path up to Gilson Road and put in a parking lot there. Isn't it about time, though, to unchain the entry and let people use it? The original dirt lot in Dunstable and the spaces off Main Dunstable Road often fill up on nice days.
